Partner Eligibility

At least one community partner and one Medical College of Wisconsin partner must jointly apply as a partnership.  Community partner is broadly defined to be inclusive of statewide, regional and local partners.   Multi-sector partnerships are encouraged.  Community partners and Medical College of Wisconsin partners may be involved in more than one partnership and may apply with different partners for different projects.

Eligible community partners are private non-profit organizations, and public organizations, including:

  • state and local governments
  • voluntary associations, foundations, civic groups
  • scientific or professional associations, universities, schools
  • citizen groups, religious organizations, healthcare organizations
  • federally-recognized Indian tribal governments, Indian tribes, or Indian tribal organizations

Eligible academic partners must be faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Staff at the Medical College of Wisconsin may serve as partners as long as they serve in conjunction with a faculty member.

Partnerships can be in varying stages of development ranging from newly formed partnerships to well-established partnerships.  Each partnership will be required to provide clear evidence of shared roles, mutual responsibility and benefit and commitment to the process of partnership development as part of the project.
